Jan 2010!!! - Happy birthday Dad! Jeez, I can't believe its 2010 already!!! January so far has been cold, snowy and windy. Not a particularly nice combination and coupled with burst pipes and no water its really not nice! We spent most of the holidays at families houses and kept falling asleep because it was way too warm for us!! (nowt to do with alcohol....honest!) Our neighbours the Wilson's have been fantastic and keep us topped up with water and have allowed us to train the dogs in the field behind us. This has been a godsend while the weather makes it difficult to get to our local forest. Thanks guys xx Have a look at our 'working gallery' for lots more pictures from our snowy January training.
Feb / March 2010 - Happy birthday to Hexie, Norris, Kifa and Witchy! February was a month of seasons and was not fun. Wilson and Arko whinged for days and the girls all decided they didnt like each other very much. On top of that Cameron disappeared to Alaska for 3 weeks and left me to enjoy it all on my own!! A huge thank you to Peter and Joyce for having Cam to stay. He had a fantastic time running the dogs and getting to meet some great people. Cam wishes he could have stayed a lot longer as there is just so much to learn and see over there. I was delighted to have him home so i didnt have to put the dogs to bed on my own in the dark anymore!! ha ha! The dogs were sooo funny when he arrived home. He could hardly get in the gate to see them because they were so excited! Happy dogs :-) March also saw the last rally of the season held at Bowland Trails and organised by good friends The Snopeaks with the help of John and Mary. We were really sorry we couldnt be there but were happy to hear what a great success the weekend was. Well done to all involved in the event and to all the competitors who successfully navigated the 30 odd turns on the trail !! Temperatures have still been quite cool up here so we are still managing to get out training regularly and the dogs are all back to normal after the girls seasons. Thank goodness!
April 2010 - Happy Birthday Willie Wilson! This month saw Bridget come up to visit for a weekend. It was great to see her and take her out training with the puppies. We picked her up in Aberdeen which meant a shopping trip for me and new shoes!! The weather has been great up to now and we have been managing to get out training regularly as the temperatures have stayed cool. It was also nice to catch up with Joyce and hear how things are going over the water. And thank you for the supply of Cinnamon Altoids for Cameron!
May 2010 - Happy Birtyday Squeaky!! May was a busy month with a few trips down the road. Arko went to SKC show and came home with another first. It was a good day at the show and Mum and Magrot came along as well. We also had a visit from Catherine and Ash which was lovely and i'm sure Ash loved all the cheese he got!! At the end of the month it was Cams sisters wedding party down in Dumbarton. I went down a few days early and got to catch up with some old friends. :-) It was wonderful getting to meet little Brody. What a gorgeous boy he is! And just as wonderful to see his mum and dad, Lorna and Paul xx The party was a great night and we got to spend some rare time with relatives from over the pond. We stayed at Mum and Dad's when we were down and as usual Lyscha was less than impressed with all the dogs running round her garden and playing with her toys.
June 2010 - Happy birthday Cameron and Mohceh! June has been really quite warm up here (although still way cooler than down south!) and training has pretty much stopped. The dogs seem content enough to go for walks and run about in the play pen but most of their time is spent sunbathing and relaxing. This month two of our friends Sharon and Catherine took part in the race for life held in Dundee. Huge well done to both of them for completing the course!
July / August 2010 - Happy Birthday to me, Mum, Alan, Laura Trevor and Graeme! July and august have been very busy with parties to go to, parents visiting and the dreaded dog shows to attend. At the end of July we wnet down to Carnoustie for Graemes 40th birthday party. We had a great night and it was good to see Cams mum and dad, sister and her husband Kenny who also came up to the party. At the beginning of August, mum, dad and lyscha came up for a week. Mum and I went to Turriff show while Cam had an epic trip down to Paignton show with Arko. A worthwhile trip as Arko came home with another first. At turrif, Natalie and Lyscha both got firsts and Lyscha went on to get best of breed and group 2! Well done Lyscha!! All the girls decided to come into season at some point during August and into sept so that was fun.........not! Towards the end of August, we went down to visit Joyce for a few days. We had a fantastic time and the dogs loved it! Thanks for having us xx
September 2010 - The girls all finished their season by mid sept so it was back to normal and we no longer had to listen to Arko and Wilson whinging and screaming all day! Mum always goes to Lochaber show in Fort William so we went over to see her and dad and took a couple of dogs over with us. Arko won his class and went on to win best of breed and group 3. Wilson gained a 2nd place. We had a good day and after the show went round to visit dad at the holiday home they were staying in. Sharon and lovely Chilam came along too. Towards the end of sept Cam went on another trip away, this time with Squeaky to Driffield show. Another worthwhile trip as she came home with the reserve cc!! Well done Squeaky and Cam xxx The weather has been reasonably cool so we have been managing to get out training regulary. The dogs are doing great and enjoying their time in harness.
