Jan - July 2011 - Apologies for the lack of news lately! Just been busy with one thing or another.. A whole heap of birthdays! Happy birthday to Kifa who turned 10 this year, Witchy, 9, Norris and Mo both turned 7, Hexie 4, Squeaky 3 and Wilson and Vixen turned 4. The winter season 10/11 for us was a good one. We feel we have a good solid base with the youngsters in harness now and this was helped greatly by a trip to Bowland Trails. John and Mary are so helpful and we can't thank them enough for helping our dogs with their lead and turn training. Bowland Trails are tailor made for sled dogs and we highly recommend them. See the link on our links page for more info. We entered a couple of rallies last season and the dogs coped really well. We were pleased with the times at the snow rally despite musher error! Jan, Feb and March were all taken up with seasons........for some reason the girls just couldn't get it together this year and all came in at different times.... The poor boys were demented. As were we listening to the screaming. In January we said a sad goodbye to Hemine who had been here for the last year with her daughter Vixen. (our wilsons mum and sister) Hemine was loaned to us by her owner and has now gone back to have a litter. We are eternally grateful to Helen for allowing us to run the two girls for over a year. We are even more grateful for her kindness in allowing us to keep Vixen. She is a more than welcome addition to the pack. Having the two girls here was a great experience and one that showed us how easy going our dogs actually are as both girls were fully integrated with everyone very quickly. We also had the pleasure of the snopeak puppies two brothers come to stay for a couple of months towards the end of the season. They were absolutley wonderful and a joy to work with. Thanks again to Ewan and Bridget for allowing us to run them. During April we got say hello to Joyce again (thanks for having us x ) and we attended the SSHC open show where Kai won Best in Show at 9.5 years old. He thoroughly enjoyed his day and his tail never stopped wagging. Due to health issues we decided to have Mohceh neutered. Things didn't quite go to plan, but after a brief stay in the vets he recovered fully and is now happy and high as a kite!

August 2011 - So far August has been busy! Mum and Dad have been up on holiday for a fortnight this year which meant we could spend much more time together. As usual we attended Turriff show where Kai won Best Veteran in Show. :-) Witchy and Wilson also went for a day out and enjoyed themselves. While Mum was up we ran a couple of ringcraft classes and had a laugh doing some agiltiy with the dogs afterwards. The dogs absolutely loved it! The weather has been pretty horrible lately with lots of rain....lets hope the rest of August is a bit brighter!
